Carl Thiel
Carl Thiel has been in the music business professionally since the late 1980's. During the early 1990's he started composing & producing music for regional as well as national advertising. By the late 1990's, he had built his personal project studio: Carl Thiel Music, a state of the art 1500 sq. ft. facility, set in the Austin Hill Country, where, besides creating music for the advertising world, he branched out into producing full album projects for National and International recording artists, including Bob Schneider, Monte Montgomery, Del Castillo, Chingon, as well as composing, arranging and producing music for major movie releases. Film projects include “Spy Kid’s 2 & 3”, “Miss Congeniality”, “Once Upon A Time In Mexico”, “Sin City”, “Kill Bill 2”, “Before The Music Dies”, “Hot Fuzz”, “Grindhouse”, “Shorts” and many more. He’s won numerous awards, including "Producer of the Year” at the Austin Music Awards; and more recently, his contribution in the production of international artist Miguel Bosé’s album “Papito” earned him a 2007 Latin Grammy nomination.
Carl currently serves on the board of Governors of the Texas Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
