Death is not a joyride is a female-fronted, experimental art-rock band from Austin, Texas. Comprised of a wide range of instruments, including everything from high energy drums, synths and samples to viola and mandolin, the group is known for both their schizophrenic compositions and unstoppable dancy breakdowns. Alongside vocals that twitch and croon, the band presents their live act as a circus sideshow, complete with animal’s masks, hypnotic visuals and zoo-based personas. Their avant-garde blend of sound craft and performance art combine into a show like nothing before!
